Uses
Vermox Syrup is used for:
- Threadworm (pinworm)
- Roundworm, whipworm and hookworm infections
- Mixed intestinal worm infections
Dosage
Threadworm: adults and children over 2 years take a single 100 mg dose, repeated after 2–3 weeks if needed. Roundworm, whipworm and hookworm: 100 mg twice daily for 3 days, or a single 500 mg dose.
How to Use
Shake the bottle well and measure each dose with the cup supplied. It can be taken with or without food. No fasting or laxative is needed.
Missed Dose
Take the missed dose when you remember. If the next dose is due soon, skip the missed one. Do not take a double dose.
Overdose
Too much can cause stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea. Contact a doctor.
When Not to Use
- Allergy to mebendazole
- Children under 2 years unless a doctor advises

Common side effects may include:

- Metronidazole: avoid taking together (rare serious skin reactions)
- Cimetidine can increase mebendazole levels
