Uses

Promto 20mg is used for:

• Heartburn and acid reflux (GERD)
• Healing of stomach and duodenal ulcers
• Helicobacter pylori infection, with antibiotics
• Reducing the risk of ulcers in people taking NSAID painkillers
• Zollinger-Ellison syndrome

Dosage

Reflux and ulcers: 20 mg once daily for 4–8 weeks. Maintenance: 10–20 mg once daily. H. pylori: 20 mg twice daily with two antibiotics for 7 days.

How to Use

Swallow the tablet whole with water, usually before breakfast. Do not chew or crush it.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose when you remember. If the next dose is due soon, skip the missed one. Do not take a double dose.

Overdose

Overdose is unlikely to be serious but may cause blurred vision, confusion, drowsiness or a fast heartbeat. Seek medical advice.

When Not to Use

• Allergy to rabeprazole or other PPIs
