Uses

Attentra 4mg/ml is used for:

• Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children aged 6 years and above
• ADHD in teenagers
• ADHD in adults

Dosage

The dose is based on body weight. For children and teenagers up to 70 kg, doctors usually start at about 0.5 mg/kg per day and increase after at least 3 days to about 1.2 mg/kg per day. For adults and anyone over 70 kg, the usual start is 40 mg daily, increased to 80 mg daily; the maximum is 100 mg daily. It can be taken once in the morning or split into two doses.

How to Use

Shake the bottle well and measure each dose with the cup or syringe supplied, not a household spoon. Take it with or without food; taking it with food may reduce stomach upset. Full benefit can take 4 weeks or longer.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose when you remember. If the next dose is due soon, skip the missed one. Do not take a double dose. Do not take more than the total daily dose in 24 hours.

Overdose

An overdose can cause drowsiness, agitation, shaking, fast heartbeat, dry mouth or seizures. Get emergency medical help immediately.
