Uses

Diane-35 is used for:

• Moderate to severe acne linked to androgens in women, when other treatments have not worked
• Excess facial or body hair (hirsutism) in women
• Symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome (acne, excess hair), as decided by a doctor

Dosage

Take one tablet daily at the same time for 21 days, then stop for 7 days (a withdrawal bleed occurs), then start the next pack on day 8. Start the first pack on day 1 of your period.

How to Use

Swallow the tablet with water at about the same time each day, following the arrows on the pack.

Missed Dose

If less than 12 hours late, take it now and continue. If more than 12 hours late, follow the pack leaflet and use condoms for 7 days.

Overdose

An overdose may cause nausea, vomiting and vaginal bleeding. Contact a doctor.

When Not to Use

• History of blood clots, stroke or heart attack
• Migraine with aura
• Smokers over 35 years
• Severe liver disease or liver tumours
• Breast cancer or other hormone-dependent cancers
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
