Empaa-M XR 25/1000mg is used for:

• Type 2 diabetes not controlled with metformin alone, alongside diet and exercise

Dosage

The usual dose is one extended-release (XR) tablet once daily with the morning meal. The strength depends on your current doses; the maximum is 25 mg empagliflozin and 2000 mg metformin daily.

How to Use

Swallow the extended-release tablet whole with water, once daily with the evening meal. Do not crush or chew it.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose when you remember. If the next dose is due soon, skip the missed one. Do not take a double dose.

Overdose

If you take too much, contact your doctor or go to the nearest hospital emergency department straight away.

When Not to Use

• Type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis
• Severe kidney disease or dialysis
