Uses

Lanzit 30mg is used for:

• Heartburn and acid reflux (GERD)
• Healing of stomach and duodenal ulcers
• Helicobacter pylori infection, with antibiotics
• Reducing the risk of ulcers in people taking NSAID painkillers
• Zollinger-Ellison syndrome

Dosage

Reflux and ulcers: 15–30 mg once daily for 4–8 weeks. H. pylori: 30 mg twice daily with two antibiotics for 7 days.

How to Use

Swallow the capsule whole with water, 30 minutes before breakfast. Do not chew or crush the contents.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose when you remember. If the next dose is due soon, skip the missed one. Do not take a double dose.

Overdose

Overdose is unlikely to be serious but may cause blurred vision, confusion, drowsiness or a fast heartbeat. Seek medical advice.

When Not to Use

• Allergy to lansoprazole or other PPIs
• Taking atazanavir or nelfinavir (HIV medicines)
