Uses

Omsana 20mg is used for:

• High blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children aged 6 and above

Dosage

The usual adult starting dose is 10–20 mg once daily, which may be increased to 40 mg once daily.

How to Use

Swallow the tablet with water, with or without food, at the same time each day.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose when you remember. If the next dose is due soon, skip the missed one. Do not take a double dose.

Overdose

If you take too much, contact your doctor or go to the nearest hospital emergency department straight away.

When Not to Use

• Allergy to olmesartan or any ingredient
• Pregnancy
• Severe liver disease or bile duct blockage
• Use with aliskiren in people with diabetes or kidney problems

• Potassium supplements, salt substitutes and potassium-sparing diuretics can raise potassium levels

• Lithium levels can rise
• Aliskiren should not be combined in people with diabetes or kidney problems
