Uses

Racedo 10mg is used for:

• Acute diarrhoea in infants (over 3 months) and children, alongside oral rehydration
• Acute diarrhoea in adults

Dosage

Children: 1.5 mg/kg three times daily (10 mg sachet for 9–13 kg, 30 mg sachet for 13–27 kg). Adults: 100 mg capsule three times daily. Treatment continues until 2 normal stools, up to 7 days.

How to Use

Mix the sachet granules with a little food, water or a feeding bottle and give straight away. Always give oral rehydration solution as well.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose when you remember. If the next dose is due soon, skip the missed one. Do not take a double dose.

Overdose

If you take too much, contact your doctor or go to the nearest hospital emergency department straight away.

When Not to Use

• Allergy to racecadotril
• Babies under 3 months
• Bloody diarrhoea or high fever
