Uses

Risp Oral Solution is used for:

• Schizophrenia
• Manic episodes of bipolar disorder
• Short-term use for persistent aggression in Alzheimer’s dementia, under specialist care
• Irritability and aggression associated with autism in children aged 5 and above, under specialist care

Dosage

For schizophrenia, adults usually start at 2 mg daily and increase to 4–6 mg daily, in one or two doses. For bipolar mania, doctors commonly start at 2–3 mg once daily. Older adults usually start at 0.5 mg twice daily. Children’s doses are based on body weight.

How to Use

It can be taken directly or mixed with water or juice (not tea). Take it at the same time each day.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose when you remember. If the next dose is due soon, skip the missed one. Do not take a double dose.

Overdose
