Dosage

Adults over 40 kg usually take 400 mg every 12 hours for the first day, then 200 mg every 12 hours. Doses are adjusted by weight, liver function and blood levels.

How to Use

Swallow the tablet with water. Take the tablet at least 1 hour before or 1 hour after a meal, every 12 hours.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose when you remember. If the next dose is due soon, skip the missed one. Do not take a double dose.

Overdose

An overdose may cause visual disturbances and heart rhythm problems. Seek medical help.

When Not to Use

• Taking rifampicin, carbamazepine, long-acting barbiturates, St John’s wort, ergot medicines, sirolimus or certain antipsychotics
