Uses

Purpal 40mg is used for:

• Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and frequent heartburn

• Reducing the risk of stomach ulcers in people who need long-term NSAID painkillers

Dosage

For healing erosive oesophagitis, the usual dose is 40 mg once daily for 4–8 weeks. For long-term reflux control, doctors often step down to 20 mg daily. For H. pylori, esomeprazole is taken twice daily with two antibiotics for 7–14 days.
